Poetry In the Raw welcomes Ajee Da Poet
Shelley Fowler goes by the pen name, “AjeeDaPoet” is native of New Jersey.
Shelley “Ajee Da Poet” Fowler is the author of a book of poetry called The Unprecedented Melodious Words of Ajee Da Poet, a collection of 64 poems that will make you think about and see life in a different light.
She generously gives her time and her work towards the benefit of causes such as the Cancer Foundation in Maryland USA, Starving Artist Fund and ArtCollab Grenada.
Ajee was the host of “Ajee The Voice” in January 2015 on Black Satin Radio, founded by her founder the late King Judah. She released not one but TWO spoken word CDs, “Pomegranite Juice” and the two disc epic, “Hood Jesus”. Both projects were very well received and celebrated by the online poetry community for their mix quality and amazing content.
Shelley has written articles, op-ed pieces and themed poetry and is going to bring more of her amazing talent to the forefront in the coming year. She hopes to book more live performances, publish and deepen her already very strong connections to the Griot community that celebrates her.
