The Flagship show of the Queendom Network, Poetry in the Rawhopes to change the way we are
entertained by hosting authors, writers, musicians, singers, spoken word artists, rappers and many more creatives to open our minds and spirits to art in all its forms. As a mission statement of the network, Poetry in the Raw strives to promote every artist who calls in, is featured as a guest or who’s work is selected on the show. You will see on our website many ways to support those artists as well as those like-minded artists whose work celebrates the Griot spirit.
Utilizing crisp time management as well as natural flow of conversation, Poetry in the Raw is an intimate online poetry show for poets and spoken word artists as well as an online source for culture, conversation and poetry for those who like to listen in.

We have “Feature” interviews and go a little deeper with some of our favorite and most gifted friends.
They come with examples of their excellence as well as their opportunities for development. Many just come to hit that mic and let it flow.
Meet The Host
Sylvia L. Blalock is a published author, poet who is also a singer and trained graphic artist. After publishing her first book of poetry, "Uprising-a book of poetry", she began seeing and making changes around her that resulted in this network.
